Teach students about the wonders of God’s creation, including plants, animals, and the human body, with Answers in Genesis’ elementary-level life science curriculum.
God’s Design for Life: The World of Plants covers plant & animal cells, flowering plants, roots, stems, photosynthesis, pollination, parasites & passengers, and more through short, hands-on lessons. Students read the lesson, do an activity, complete “What did we Learn?” questions, and assess understanding by answering “Taking it Further” questions; students in grades 6-8 have an additional challenge section. Special features are integrated throughout, along with quizzes, a final project, and a final exam.
This student book contains 6 units with 35 lessons; students are also given quizzes and a final test and final project (online resources – to be downloaded). At the pace of 3 lessons a week (approximately 30-45 minutes for each), you can cover the 3-book series (each book sold-separately) within a year. 133 pages with glossary and index, softcover. Grades 3-8. 4th Edition. NKJV Scripture used. Digital access to downloadable tests, worksheets, experiments, illustrations, and videos is also included.
This easy-to-use curriculum (designed by homeschoolers!) is ideal for anyone who wants to teach life science from a biblical, young-earth point of view. The full multi-level curriculum contains four series of three books each: chemistry & ecology, life, heaven & earth, and the physical world. This is one student book of three in the “Gods Design for Life” Series.
There have been a variety of updates to this 4th Edition. Books now include more illustrations, photos, and diagrams, along with a fresh new design and a more user-friendly layout. Content has been updated with the latest scientific findings and information, and each book has gone through a thorough scientific review. Lastly, grade-level content has been shifted to grades 3-8.
